  • DescriptionThis interview covers Ken Dryer's reasons for joining the military, his experiences as a soldier at home and while deployed, and his response to several different areas of his time in the Army. Dryer moved a lot as a child but knew at an early age that he wanted to serve his country and add his name to a family history of soldiers. During his time in the service, Dryer experienced a broad range of activities. He was stationed at 2 different bases in 8 1/2 years and was deployed overseas to Afghanistan and Iraq on multiple occasions. He was very aware of the challenges he faced transitioning back to civilian life and discussed a few that were the most difficult for him.
