Former president of the local Richmond, KY NAACP for eight years, a longtime member of First Baptist Church, and member of numerous social organizations Ms. Stone is a very active member in the Richmond community. As the first African American female teacher hired at E.K.U. Ms. Stone received the honor of being listed in Who's Who in Black America in 1980 and has accomplished many things throughout her life. This interview concludes with Ms. Stone discussing her teaching career and her retirement.
