DescriptionJill Allgier was born in Riverside, California, and came to Richmond when her husband was hired at EKU. Allgier was hired as Assistant Registrar in 1981 and later became Registrar in 1989, a position she held until she retired in 2005. Allgier discusses coming to EKU and the challenges she faced as Registrar. She remembers "The EKU Women" and the sense of community. She describes the change to the computer registration system, the additions of phone and web registration, and humorous stories of student excuses. Allgier also discusses issues with athletes and NCAA rules, Presidents Powell, Funderburk, and Kustra, and what EKU has meant to her through time.
