Before coming to EKU, Banks worked at Union College where he taught sociology and Appalachian studies. In this interview, Dr. Banks discusses his role in creating the Appalachian Center and a minor in Appalachian Studies. He recounts the early stages and years before its establishment and what it has accomplished since its inception.
