DescriptionDr. Anne Brooks was born in Roxbury, North Carolina. In this interview Dr. Brooks discusses her first teaching job in Florida. After two years of teaching she became a Methodist missionary to Japan, where she taught English. She discusses her experiences as an American in Japan and the role women play in society. Dr. Brooks discusses EKU at length in her interview. Topics include discussions over the presidents she served under, the need for faculty to conduct research, changes in students over time, and what influenced her decision to retire.
