Richard Vance is a native of Decatur, Illinois. He attended North Texas State College and the University of North Carolina. He taught in the Social Work Department at University of Tennessee before coming to EKU to teach in Political Science Department. In this interview he discusses the circumstances that brought him to EKU and his overall impressions of EKU. He provides both the negatives and positives of holding a Chair position and discusses past EKU Presidents.
