  • DescriptionDr. Ursel Boyd is a former professor of German at EKU. She was born in Berlin, Germany. In this interview, Boyd describes growing up in Germany and the impacts of World War II. Her reasons for coming to Kentucky are founded in the Cuban Missile Crisis. She explains that while living on the East coast she was fearful because of threats of nuclear war, so when the offer came she took it and fell in love with Kentucky. She comments on the classes she taught and the various EKU Presidents, Deans and students she worked with while at Eastern.
