  • Description: David Russell Young was born in 1951 in Barren County, Kentucky, and attended school in Tompkinsville, Kentucky. Young received a B.A. from EKU, a M.A. from University of Kentucky, and consequently began a career in secondary Physical Education. In the following interview Young details his role in developing the women's basketball program in Allen County, the resulting booster clubs, and intra-mural sports networks. Young also comments on "Basketball Bill" and his general thoughts and impressions of the differences between women's and men's athletics.
