  • DescriptionDavid Ervin is a West Virginia University graduate and served in the United States Army from 2004 to 2005. He served one tour in Afghanistan during Operation Iraqi Freedom. In his interview he discusses a multitude of topics that include, but are not limited to, the V.A, the G.I Bill, death and loss in the military, navigating the return home, finding a community, the multiple written works that Ervin has produced or helped write. In particular, Ervin shares his thoughts on the fact that every veteran is different and more understanding of this diversity is required in order to bridge gaps between Veterans and civilians. Currently, Ervin is the Editor-in-chief at Military Experience and the Arts, and looks forward to working on and publishing more veteran stories. #iraqifreedom #WVU #battleofVolusa
